We sought a better alternative
We were looking for a product free of carcinogens, non-allergenic, with no negative impact on humans. An alternative to valuable forest timber.
Plant fibres and protein resin
We found the solution: plant fibres from cereal straw and hemp, bonded with protein-based adhesive resin.
Filtration and pasteurisation
The filtration process for the raw material and high-temperature exposure — removes pollen, bacteria, fungi and mould.

What is a bio-board?

Made from plant fibres, bonded with protein adhesive resin
Bio-Board is manufactured from plant fibres of cereal straw and hemp, bonded with protein-based adhesive resin. It is the only furniture board on the market free from formaldehyde, isocyanates and PMDI.
Its unique scent resembles roasted grain — a natural effect of the raw materials used. Bio-board creates a distinctive microclimate in rooms, regulating humidity and improving air quality.
By mixing the appropriate fraction of plant fibres, arranging them in the right directions and positions relative to each other, we achieve a very good structure while maintaining lower weight than traditional furniture boards.

Bio-board combines versatility with safety
Machining
Bio-board has the same machining parameters as standard furniture boards. Routing, drilling, nesting — all using the same tools and parameters as with traditional MDF boards.
Finishing
Bio-boards can be finished in many ways — veneers, fabrics, laminates, pigmented oil paints. Minimalists can leave them raw, enjoying the natural, wood-like appearance and the scent of roasted grain.
Health
Ideal for allergy sufferers. The manufacturing process filters dust and plant pollen from the raw material, and high-temperature exposure eliminates bacteria, fungi and mould. Zero toxic emissions — a healthy place to work and live.
